The state animal of Madhya Pradesh hard ground barasingha (Rucervus duvaucelii) is found exclusively in Kanha tiger reserve. Through holistic conservation approach and effective management practices, the tiger reserve has seen rise in population of the symbolic deer species which was once on the verge of extinction from the earth. The lush green forests of kanha is composed majorly of sal(shorea robusta ) and other mixed forest trees that supports the growth of rich and varied flora and fauna.

The tigers and other wildlife you will spot are in their natural habitat and are best left undisturbed. Here are some important safety measures one must undertake while going for a tiger safari in India.

Keep Quiet

An undisturbed tiger is a friendly tiger. Once you spot a tiger en route the safari, stay mute while you witness the graceful wildcat. The only acceptable sound is the one coming out of your camera shutter!

Observe And Listen Carefully

Being an apex predator, the tiger is brilliant at camouflage and silent movement. So when in the safari, keep your eyes peeled and your ears tuned; you might just spot this majestic cat in hunt mode.
